• Responsible to maintain workplace harmony among the 1500 workers who are engaged at site.
• Implement strategy to deal with the Union and maintain fair, firm and factual relationship with the union leaders.
• Wage Settlement/Negotiation
• Focal person between management and union communication.
• Develop and implement grievance redressal mechanism by implementing grievance redressal forum for employees as well as labours. Resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Establish site level IR priorities in consultation with the site engineers. Ensure effective implementation of attendance, leave management and payroll process in time bound manner.
• Handling disciplinary action process in the matter like misconduct, unauthorized absenteeism, negligence, idling and wasting time, stoppage of work, by way of verbal/written counseling as well as warning/show cause notice, suspension & termination, domestic enquiry process.
• Partner with site team for implementing labour productivity improvement initiatives.
• Maintain healthy relationship with the local representatives and political bodies
• Ensure amicable relationship with the Police/District Administration
