National Highways Authority of India has planned Construction of Eight
lane access-controlled Expressway from Km 69.800 to Km 79.783 (Bhoj to
Morbe Section - SPUR of Vadodara Mumbai Expressway) including 4.160
km long twin tube eight-lane tunnel in Matheran Eco-sensitive Zone in the
State of Maharashtra on Hybrid Annuity mode under Bharatmala
Pariyojana (Phase II- Package XVII). The starting point of the project is Km
69 800,near Bhoj village of Thane District and ends at in Morbe village of
Raigad district at Km 79 783. Total length of the expressway under this
package is approx. 9.983 km. The proposed tunnel starts from Km 71 520
and end at Km 75 680 with Total length of 4.16 Km. NHAI has awarded the
contract to IRCON BMEL on Hybrid Annuity Mode as prime contractor and
IRCON has given the contract to J. KUMAR INFRAPROJECTS Ltd as EPC
Contractor. Beaver Infra Consultants Pvt. Ltd has been appointed by J.
KUMAR INFRAPROJECTS Ltd as its Design Consultancy Firm and to provide
and carry out the engineering design consultancy services for this work.
