• Design review of the detail project report submitted by the design consultant • Checking horizontal & vertical alignments, setting out curves levels, surface irregularity and compaction of Embankment • Checking setting out of alignment and interpretation of contract • Checking approved drawings • Monitoring structural activities like RCC wall, Box Culvert , Pipe culvert etc • Checking reinforcement details as per approved drawing • Preparing working drawing related to road and cross drainage work • Managing end-to-end highway construction operations with respect to cost, resource deployment, time overruns and quality compliance • Participating in project meetings for evaluating project progress and providing technical inputs to increase productivity • Meeting with field worker & contractors to administer the progress of work and resolve any queries • Preparing Daily/Weekly/Monthly project baselines; monitoring and controlling projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, time overruns and quality compliance to ensure satisfactory execution of Construction projects • Preparing & monitoring financial budget for Purchasing of machine & equipment • Reviewing highway planning studies and reports identifying R/W, utility, historical, traffic and environmental impacts for alternative designs • Conducting on-site visits to ensure that all work was carried out according to specifications • Determining factors such as the width of lanes and the intended flow of traffic • Working with project manager to develop designs that met budget guidelines • Creating designs for new development and the upgrade of existing highway • Resolving any design flaws or issues with implementation of completed plans
