As a Lab Tech. I was responsible for conducting various lab tests for the following materials as given in Contract and as per IRC, IS & MoRT&H Specification: • Soil: Grain Size Analysis, Free Swell Index, Atterberg’s limit, Compaction - Modified Proctor Test, Direct Shear Test, California Bearing Ratio & Field Density Test using Sand Replacement method/Nuclear Density Gauge etc. • Aggregate: Gradation (Individual & Combined), Combined flakiness & elongation indices, Fineness Modulus value of fine aggregate (F.M. value), Aggregate Impact Value, Los Abrasion value, Aggregate crushing value, 10% Fines value, Stripping value, specific gravity and water absorption value & Soundness test and other tests incorporated in Concrete Mix designs etc. • Brick test : Shape and size,water absorption, compressive strength ,Efflorence. • Cement: Fineness test by dry sieving, Specific gravity, Consistency test, Soundness test, Initial and final setting time, casting and testing of cement mortar cube and testing of 3,7 & 28 days compressive strength etc. • Concrete: Concrete mix designs for different grades (M-40,M-35,M-30, M-25, M-20&M-15) and testing of concrete cubes compressive strength for 7 & 28 days and flexural strength of concrete beams & slump test etc. Mix Designs of various grades of concrete i.e. M-15, M-20 (PCC & RCC), M-25, M-30, M-35 & M-40 grades, Designs for GSB&WMM including Designs for materials.
